Hanshin Contents Link, holders of the exclusive master license of the Billboard brand for the territory of Japan, will be opening a new type of cafe / restaurant, “Billboard cafe and dining,” in Tokyo Midtown Hibiya (opening Mar. 29, 2018).
“My Tune, My Time: Produced by Billboard Live” is the copy of Billboard cafe and dining and its concept is “devotion to music and having a good time.” It aims to provide not only good food and drinks but also a space where customers can choose their preferred BGM, presenting a novel way of enjoying music.
The interiors will include private dining cubicles equipped with state-of-the-art speakers recommended by participating audio makers, an open patio space with a panoramic view of Hibiya Park, and an in-house sound system that supports a wide range of analog and digital recording formats to play original playlists.
Billboard cafe and dining will also have an adjacent vinyl and CD specialty shop and will offer menus featuring favorite foods of artists who have performed in Billboard Live, which is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year. The new cafe and dining space will hold small concerts and talk shows to be distributed online and aims to become a place where people can connect through music.
Billboard cafe and dining in Hibiya will be the first flagship store directly managed by Hanshin Contents Link. It will expand in the future as a nationwide chain to establish its position as a hub for promoting music culture.
