Today (May 10), Charice turns 25.

The Filipino singer rose to international fame at the young age of 15. After accepting an invitation by Swedish music publishing company Ten Songs/Productions in 2007, and appearing on South Korean television show Star King, Charice flew to the US within the same year to debut her talent on The Ellen Show.

In the next two years, the demand for Charice’s talent spiked, opening opportunities for exposure first, on The Paul O’Grady Show in England, and next, on The Oprah Winfrey Show. “The most talented girl in the world,” was Oprah’s testimonial before she introduced Charice’s talent to David Foster. Foster carved a huge part of Charice’s international career path which was initiated through his tribute concert, Hitman: David Foster and Friends in Las Vegas, Nevada.

With debut international studio album Charice, the singer is the first Asian solo artist to rank in the Top 10 of the Billboard 200 albums chart. The chart topping single “Pyramid” opened doors for Charice in the form of television acting opportunities and collaborations with some of the industry’s most prolific songwriters. “Before It Explodes” written by Bruno Mars became the lead single on (3rd) studio album Infinity. In the recent year, Charice released her fifth studio album Catharsis.
