Today (May 22), Raimund Marasigan celebrates his 46th birthday.
His career began in 1989 as a drummer for Pinoy rock band Eraserheads. His knack for drums is one of many talents he lent the band. Marasigan was instrumental as a back-up vocalist and occasionally, a lead vocalist. Next to the band’s primary songwriter Ely Buendia, Marasigan made a huge contribution as songwriter.
His work as a musician speaks a lot about how versatile and multi-talented Marasigan is as a musician. With his experience as keyboardist of Pedicab, rhythm guitarist and frontman for Sandwich, and drummer of Cambio, bassist for Gaijin, vocalist of Project 1, and synth player for Squid 9, there’s no questioning Raimund Marasigan’s capabilities as multi-instrumentalist.
Today Marasigan balances his time as a musician and songwriter with the multiple gigs he gets as a record producer, a voice actor, a TV host, and endorser.
