After a fresh take on electro-reggae with the single “Ko Ko Bop”, South Korean boy group EXO spent the last few days unrelentlessly teasing fans with a series of video game-themed clips from their forthcoming repackaged album The War: The Power of Music. On September 5, the nine-member group from SM Entertainment finally revealed the music video for “The Power”. Watch it below:
Back in July, EXO also launched their official Twitter account (@weareoneEXO), which reached one million followers in the first two months. To celebrate this milestone, K-entertainment news platform Soompi, together with Twitter, launched a global fan art competition where fans can show their love for the group and also get a chance to win one of ten exclusive ultimate fandom packages, including a set of EXO albums, an EXO lightstick and other EXO merchandise. The mechanics for participating are as follows:
– From September 6 to 8 (10:59 PM, PHT), fans can turn their love for EXO into action by tweeting a photo or digital image of their original fan art from their personal account to @soompi with the hashtag #EXOFanArt.
– The top 20 fan art pieces will be selected based on the highest volume of engagement on their hashtagged Tweets (i.e. highest number of Likes, Replies and Retweets combined). Soompi will then select the final 10 winners based on originality and creativity.
– The winners will be announced on September 15 and will be rewarded with a limited edition @weareoneEXO prize box each, along with having their fan art featured around the world on Twitter.
