The good thing about being a dance producer and DJ is that you can test your new tracks out on crowds around the country and the world, hearing and seeing first-hand what works, what doesn’t, and where you can take your music in the future. If you’re an international star on the level of Martin Garrix, your super-fans pick up on those unreleased tracks, and they beg you to drop them, sometimes for years at a time.
Garrix fans, rejoice. The “In The Name Of Love” producer hit fans back on Twitter and promised that two of his anticipated tunes, “Glad You Came” and “So Far Away,” are scheduled to be released Friday, Dec. 1. That tips off the official countdown clock as Garrix lovers freakout the world over.
Garrix was caught dropping “Glad You Came” during his set at Ultra in March of 2017. “So Far Away” is a collaboration with David Guetta, featuring vocals from Ellie Goulding and Conor Maynard, which Garrix debuted during his set at Tomorrowland in July. Check the exchange from Twitter below, and mark your calendars.
