On Wednesday night (Oct. 18), Terno Recordings rock act Maude dropped their lyric video for “Cloud Nine,” off their upcoming second studio album.

“I had no plan or vision of the final product when I started, was just letting one idea lead to another,” vocalist Luis Azcona tells BillboardPH of the lyric video, which features clips taken by his band mates and gig photos by Alyza Geraldine Abacan.

The single was released in March, completely dodging Valentine’s month on purpose. Besides the fact it was around the time when they’d finished mixing the song, its straightforward lyrics being all about former lovers and debilitating jealousy simply didn’t fit February. “V’s day feels like it should be about celebration,” Azcona adds. “And not about negative emotions, but I’m most likely wrong.”

Maude have yet to reveal the name and a new release date for their upcoming record, which was originally set for the first quarter of the year. Azcona says they’re looking to deliver it A.S.A.P. “The process has gotten embarrassingly slow, but with the songs fully mastered, all we’re waiting for are the artwork design (kami din gumagawa niyan), and the actual mass production of physical copies. I’m hoping that after this lyric vid, the next thing that we’d post to the page is the album’s launch date.”
