Blues-soul-rock fusion band MilesExperience successfully launched their latest music video “Sunshine” in a jam-packed Social House, Circuit Makati on August 11. Organized by the band and MCA Music, the launch also featured guest performances from December Avenue, The Espasouls, Giniling Festival, IV of Spades (who brought loads of funky vibes) and SUD. “Sunshine” is part of MilesExperience’s upcoming new album, the band’s much-awaited follow-up to their debut Again & Against.
The band composed of guitarist Justin Teano, bassist Ian Diaz, keyboardist Guido Hizon, drummer Timothy Odulio, and frontman Miles Bondoc could not hide their surprise and gratitude to the droves of fans who came to the launch, as well as their excitement for the early success of their new music video.
“Concept ng video sobrang seryoso niya, pinag-isipan talaga…Hindi, joke lang (laughs),” Ian said. “Parang nagkakatuwaan lang kami, kung ano ‘yung maisip namin na ilagay sa video, kung ano ‘yung lumalabas sa imagination naming, parang naglalakbay at nagti-trip lang kami.”
“‘Yung song kasi parang relaxed lang siya, parang , ‘uy, umaga na, andiyan na ‘yung araw!’” Miles shared. “‘Yun ang vibe niya mismo, parang happy morning, happy day.”
According to music video director Jiggy Gregorio: “Kasi una kong impression sa song, para siyang galling sa Abbey Road ng The Beatles. Binalikan ko din ‘yung mga visuals and videos ng Help!, Let It Be, Yellow Submarine, so parang homage.”
Since the song is the latest addition to a long list of morning-themed songs, MilesExperience was more than happy to talk about what makes a happy morning, to which they practically said in unison: “Breakfast na masarap!”
