Typecast released a music video for their new single “Against the Ropes” featuring Reg Rubio of Greyhoundz today. The music video was shot in one take at the Macbeth Philippines HQ and directed by Arvin Belarmino, who is also part of Cavite-based heavy rock band Fherrond. The single jumpstarts the campaign for Typecast’s upcoming new EP slated for release this November.

According to bassist Chi Resurreccion, the idea to collaborate with Reg Rubio was originally conceived during their US Tour together a few years ago. When the time shoot a music video for the song came, the band decided to go with Belarmino, a long-time fan who has been volunteering his services. Chi himself liked Belarmino’s previous body of work evokes that Japanese and Korean horror film feel.

“Against the Ropes” is Belarmino’s second music video. Isang premise nito is one take, talagang shinoot namin ng buo, naka-roll talaga hanggang matapos ang kanta.
